T1 Line Service
Description
A T1 line carries twenty-four 64 kbps-voice channels at 1.5 Mbps, and
can be used as a public or private line. Pulse Code Modulation digitizes
the voice.
This is a high traffic, high call volume circuit from the Central
Office. It is usually less expensive and more feature rich than having
separate telephone lines. Services like Direct Inward Dialing are
possible with T1 lines.
Hospitality Features
Description
This telephone system has several features that support its use in a
hotel-type environment.
With Flexible Numbering the room number and the extension number can be
the same.
Room Status Control
Description
A multi-line telephone with a 6-line display designated as the hotel
operator extension can be used to view and change the check-in and
check-out status of guest rooms.
Any single line analog telephone can be used as a room extension without
special programming.
Flexible buttons on the hotel operator's extension can be set as Room
Status Control buttons. Two types of buttons are available:
Check-in
Changes the status of the selected extension from Check-out to Check-in.
Remote Extension Lock is turned off, allowing calls to be made from the
extension.
Check-out
Changes the status of selected extensions from Check-in to Check-out.
Extension data, such as Timed Reminder or Last Number Redial data, is
cleared, and Remote
Extension Lock is turned on, preventing unauthorized calls. This can be
useful to prevent the extension in the room from being used when no
guest is checked in.
When in Room Status Control mode, the relevant Room Status Control
button's light flashes red. In addition, DSS buttons on the hotel
operator's extension show the room status of each extension as follows:
Room Status Control
An extension designated as the hotel operator can set the check-in
status of rooms remotely.
Remote Wake-up Call
An extension designated as the hotel operator can set a timed reminder
for a room remotely.
SMDR for External Hotel Application
Hospitality feature data, including check-in, check-out, and timed
reminder times, can be output through the serial port for use in an
external PC-based hotel application

Cell Station
Interface Card
The KXTSA 100 & 200 have one difference
concerning the Portable Wireless telephones. The KXTDA 50 will only
support the Portable Wireless telephones through a Digital Station Port.
This will only allow 2 conversations to take place in one antenna zone.
The KXTDA 100 & 200 have a special Cell Station Interface Card that
allows up to 3 conversations to take place in one antenna zone. The CSIF
circuit takes one slot in the KSU and comes in a four or eight port
version.
